I’m Anne-Marie Sabina Prekezes, a product and visual designer working between digital and physical mediums. My practice encompasses brand identity, client-led design, and independent work in illustration, fabrication, and analog processes. I often draw inspiration from natural patterns, anatomy, paintings, and memory, bringing organic elements and fine art principles into digital spaces.
I’m drawn to the tension between handmade and digital forms: sketching textures, making prints, or experimenting with materials before moving to screen. For me, design is as much about connection as it is about function.
My work experience spans web development and design for Octavate’s music label, graphics and social media for my university’s department (IDM), and product photography for CuteLab, an audio technology initiative. Across projects, I focus on the relationship between the work and the person experiencing it, blending digital tools and analog techniques to create work that feels both personal and accessible.
Bio
For me, design begins with a question: What problem are we trying to solve? It’s not just about visual aesthetics and trends; it’s about using design to find solutions and create a visual narrative that real people can connect with and understand.
I hold the creative process in the same high regard as the polished final prototype. I believe documenting your work and ideas in the process can reveal insights and ideas that are just as valuable.
I don’t design for faceless “users” but for real people. Design is about connection; whether it’s through graphic work or social media, it can bring people together. Whether I’m blending analog textures with digital tools or simply doodling ideas, every step is part of a conversation between what I’m making and those who experience it.
My Design Philosophy
In my free time, I like to make things by hand; this is a custom card deck and wooden box I designed and built as a small personal project!
