This series captures my experience of living in Czechia and traveling through nearby countries, documenting quiet corners of old architecture and unfamiliar streets that I stumbled upon. Alongside this, I documented spaces I found revisiting between my travels, as well as my family’s home in Athens. I was drawn to the tension between familiarity and foreignness, intimacy and distance; how a space can feel personal or distant depending on our connection to it. Through these images, I explore the contrasts that shape our sense of place: solitude and gathering, belonging and displacement, the personal and the unfamilar.
